My mum close to me

Last year, Gil asked me if I could make her a bracelet with a V.  The first letter of her mother’s name, who had passed away.  She wanted something she could continuously carry close to her.

I asked her if she still had a hand written card or note from her.

She was surprised by my question, as she had to go through all her mother’s belongings again.  Something that she found difficult, emotional and very confronting.

When she came to pick up the bracelet she explained to me how hard that was for her, but that she was so happy and thankful for the result.

Last summer, Gil got married and het mum was close to her.  She wore her little V together with a little fox, a smart allusion to her husband’s last name.

Gil’s story made me realize that this is what I wanted to continue doing.  This is so beautiful.
